Viva Las Vegas! A city like no other. Bright lights, endless entertainment and more buffets than we can count, this city will have you coming back for more.
Whether you’re travelling solo, with friends or with family, you will be spoilt for choice for things to do.
Here’s our list of the Top 10 Things to Do in Las Vegas:

- Las Vegas Strip and Casinos
So you made it to Vegas, first thing on the to-do list? Check out The Strip! You could spend a whole day walking around the different hotels and casinos, admiring the designs and experiencing something new at each turn. Every hotel and casino has a unique charm with interesting things to do. See the fountains and conservatory at The Bellagio, go shopping at Caesars Palace, take a gondola ride at The Venetian, gaze at the pyramid of Luxor, visit the theme park inside Circus Circus, walk through New York, or relax on the beach at Mandalay Bay. - Fremont Street Experience
Fremont Street (aka. the original Strip) is a bustling attraction in downtown Las Vegas, that still holds its charm from the early Vegas days. Walk down Fremont Street to experience what it might’ve felt like in the 1950’s, with classic architecture and landmarks lining the street. There’s plenty to see and do while you’re there, including the SlotZilla zipline and Viva Vision Light Show, plus live music, entertainment and an abundance of restaurants and bars. More information about the Fremont Street Experience here.
- See a show!
It wouldn’t be the true Vegas experience without going to a show! From concerts, comedy and theatre shows, to Cirque du Soleil performances, magic shows and kids entertainment – there’s something for everyone. If there’s a particular show you want to see, make sure you book in advance to avoid missing out. If you’re happy to go with the flow, visit one of the many ticket booths in Vegas to see what shows are on offer, or browse online.

- The Neon Museum
The Neon Museum, also known as the Neon Boneyard, is probably our favourite attraction in Vegas! As the name suggests, it’s a massive outdoor exhibit of old neon signs, preserving the rich history of Las Vegas and its iconic casinos. Book a guided tour and a Vegas expert will take you through the exhibit, retelling stories of the famous city and the significance of the signs. General Admission tickets start at $20 for adults. Tip: It can get hot out there, especially with the sun reflecting on all that metal, so stay hydrated and sun smart! More information about The Neon Museum here.
- The STRAT Hotel and SkyPod
Every hotel and casino in Vegas has something unique about it, but The STRAT (formerly The Stratosphere) is the only one with a 1,149-foot-tall tower. The SkyPod is the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States, where you will enjoy incredible 360-degree views of the city, with dining and drinks options if you want to stay a while. It also features thrill rides, where you will be dangling over the edge, and the SkyJump open-air leap. A visit to the observation deck is about $20 for adults. More information about The STRAT here.
- High Roller (Las Vegas Observation Wheel)
If you’re after a calmer experience with amazing views, take a ride on the High Roller – Las Vegas’ very own Observation Wheel located at The LINQ Hotel, and the tallest observation wheel in the world! Reach a height of 550 feet on this 30 minute ride, and if you want something a little more luxe, you can even book a cocktail experience or a VIP cabin. You’ll be snapping lots of photos on this one! Tickets start at $23.50 for adults, depending on the day and time. More information about the High Roller here.

- Grand Canyon National Park
The magnificent Grand Canyon is definitely one to see in a lifetime. Las Vegas is the closest major city to the Grand Canyon National Park, although it does take a few hours to get there, so factor travel times into your plan. There are many tours and shuttle bus services in Vegas that can transport you to-and-from the national park, but if you prefer driving there yourself, there are lots of interesting stops along the way (including the Route 66 town Williams). The South Rim of the Grand Canyon is the most popular area of the park, with some of the best views of the canyon. There is an entrance fee to the national park which you can purchase in advance. More information about visiting the Grand Canyon here.
- Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area
If the Grand Canyon is a little too far, take a trip to the Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area instead. Only 30 minutes from Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon is a stunning natural landmark, featuring red sandstone peaks and the Keystone Thrust Fault. Enjoy a hike or bike ride, or take a drive along the 13 mile scenic route. There is a small entrance fee to help conservation of the park ($15 per car or $5 for a pedestrian). More information about Red Rock Canyon here.

- Pinball Hall of Fame
The Pinball Hall of Fame is a massive volunteer-run pinball arcade and museum, featuring hundreds of pinball machines and penny arcade games from the mid-1900’s to now. It is always bustling with people, but you don’t need to be a pinball fanatic to spend hours there. The Pinball Hall of Fame has recently moved to a new location closer to The Strip, with a revamped atmosphere and new games. More information about the Pinball Hall of Fame here.
- Madame Tussauds
Madame Tussauds (World’s Greatest Wax Museum) is a popular attraction for all ages, with about 21 museums worldwide, each with their own unique display. Madame Tussauds in Vegas was the first to open in the United States, and features over 100 wax figures of celebrities and characters. Take photos with your favourite actors, sports stars, musicians, superheroes and more, or star in your own music video. It should take you 1 – 1.5 hours to see the full museum, with entry from $36.99. More information about Madame Tussauds here.
